i worked for the ROYERSFORD supercuts for about 6 months. i got paid $8 an hour, had to go to a week long RIDICULOUS training center where they "teach" you to cut the "supercuts way"...(which every hairdresser knows everyone is different/has their own techniques)the owners do NOT give a rat's *** about their employees..

all they are worried about is making money. they expect you to do a haircut in 15 minutes or less.. there were ladies working there for over 11 YEARS and not ONCE did they get a raise or bonus or ANYTHING. you get told that you can get paid vacation but when that time comes they come up with some excuse as to why you can't take it..

i am tellllling you, stay away from supercuts.

go to a legit salon where you will actually be valued for your worth.. something supercuts DOESN'T DO!!!!

Location: Pottstown, Pennsylvania

People are delusional...and they fight tooth and nail to backup there beliefs. The only way to discern the truth is to look at facts.

1. Supercuts is a CHAIN. They work off production. They make slaves of their employees by paying minimum wage.

It is a Factory environment. THE ABOVE ARE FACTS. There are no benefits to working SC long term. You will not make more money as a Stylist and any following or people you get will not be good customers because SC has spoiled them for cheap haircuts.

2. You'll have to LEARN and pay for inferior schooling if you work for SUPER-CUTS. 2. The only way to make decent money doing hair is to Rent a booth.

It takes a long time, but eventually you'll have enough of a following to make it worthwhile. 3.

The second way to make money doing hair is to OWN the shop. That's it....

Gosh im so sorry about your experience. I work at supercuts in nipomo ca.

And i am treated great! I make good money and pto hours when i want them as i earn them....im also starting training as an educator which means more mulahh..i love my boss sherri she truly cares for her staff..i was afraid to work for a chain because i came from owning my own salon that was doing well but things happen.

I got a divorce and it wasn't pretty...8 years later..i met my new love and we had a baby and here i am.I felt like wow ive really gone a step down taking this job but honestly it has takin me out of debt and helped me grow as a stylist becuase the education is non-stop and you can move up and make a career move with this compAny its just sad becAuse there are owners who could care less about the promise supercuts instils.. You should come and apply at this supercuts should you move this way.(: im selina by the way ....and i love supercuts and i do bleed blue..(:

I went to Supercuts to get more conference in haircutting and so on..once I got hired I had to learn the Supercuts way it's very hard to master and the people are nice but I learn much differently than others and I felt like they where getting some frustrated with me and that really turned me off about the place as other people are saying it's not for everyone.

When you get hired you are told about the class. The technique is amazing and I am so happy I learned it.

Yes it's not for everyone and that is fine. You shoulda turned down the job if you didn't want to learn something new, which is *** because you should always be open to learning as learning cannot hurt you only enhance your skills. And they expect your avg time to be 15-20 mins not less than 15 fore very cut. No they do not currently do raises by if you do enough services you cane ran commission, which I'm guessing you never met those goals which speaks volumes for the type of worker you probably were.and even if they are short staffed and you can't take a vac, the manager can still put it on their checks.

I know this because I have dine this for my stylists who have extra vac time but dint have anything planned and don't want to take a vacation.

This is the inky place I have worked for and I LOVE it. Yes there are bad times but the good far outweighs the bad.

1. What clients do you have?

They are NOT YOUR CLIENTS...they belong to the shop.

You work there...a slave worker who will never build a following working at a CHOP SHOP. Get Real....

Not accurate, for every supeecuts location

I go to the Super Cuts in Acton and I always give a great tip because the cut is so cheap but I am so happy with my cut. I have been very happy and there is one girl there I really like but when she wasn't there I have tried three others and they are all just great.

It is a good place to go if you can communicate exactly what you want and you basically know what you want. If you are looking for someone to give you a makeover type haircut, I wouldn't recommend that. Don't let the price fool you the stylist are very good. If you want a great hair cut make sure that you know what you want and speak up if you don't get what you want, so much of a good hair cut is honestly knowing the type of hair you have, the shape of your face, and what your hair will do on it's own, and what products to use for your hair type.

I am fussy about my hair and a good cut makes all the difference.

I have had bad experiences with other cheap places to get my hair cut but not the Acton Super Cuts. I get lots of compliments on my hair and the cut lasts about 6 weeks.

Way to go Supercuts

I love working for supercuts. And as a manager I have seen people cut "with their own style of cutting" supercuts technique eliminates mistakes.

It's a shame that the place u were at u didn't feel valued.

I just haven't had the same experience. I make good money, and because of the built in clientelle I make amazing tips.

Funny how all neg comments for Royersford Supercuts were written on the same date.... Think about why you were fired and try to hold down a job if you are working by learning from your mistakes!

It is interesting that you would choose to go to a salon that has a mandatory cutting technique when you had every intention of doing it your way. Why not go rent or work on commission?

do it your way? I will tell you why because you really aren't a good Stylist who can build a clientele and make it. Which is why you went to Supercuts because they have a lot of clients. hmmm I wonder why?

All stylists get to use their creativity and artistic ability to create the look the client wants.

The technique basically keeps stylists organized and prevents it from being cut too short or uneven. That is IF the stylists really understand hair and do their job. Supercuts Technique is designed to give customers a great haircut. Stylists who work there and think they know better is where Supercuts gets a bad name.

In the Beauty industry time is money. An hour haircut is about $60.00 and 15 - 20 minute haircut is 15.00 hence the time saving technique. It saves clients money and time.

Additionally that is a basic haircut and many haircuts take longer than that and there is NEVER an extra charge. PS as far as the compensation package vacation and wages that is simply not so.

As a man I can not relate to fancy hair styling that women receive, but I have had both 15 minute cuts and hour long cut work. For a good hair stylist, the end result is the same.

If a stylist takes a long time to do a basic cut, then they are taking their time.

Maybe stretching it out to be able to charge more. One of my best cuts was from an independant barber charging $12.
